Hello,
Let me introduce
myself and
my artwork.

My style has evolved over the years to be colorful and vibrant with a tendency toward illustration. I have been inspired by many artists. Edward Hopper, Maxfield Parrish, John James Audubon, and Andrew Wyeth among others. I strive to transport the viewer to a time, place and feeling that evokes a good memory or positive emotion.
My Story
I grew up in Connecticut and spent much of my free time swimming in the reservoir near my home and exploring the wooded trails and fields nearby. I mucked out stalls and slung hay bales in exchange for the privilege of riding ponies bareback at the local stable.
These experiences greatly inspired my love for and connection to farms, nature and animals. I spent time drawing and painting horses and flowers as well as experimenting with every art and craft I could get my hands on.
In high school, I was known at the “Art Kid”, and was awarded recognition by my teachers and peers for my growing skills in the creative arts.
Although a great deal of my adult life was directed toward training horses, raising my children and going back to earn my college degree at the age of fifty, art has been a common thread throughout my entire life. I continue to focus on improving as an artist, and love to experiment with new techniques to round out my skills.
My love of watercolors is a part of my daily life, and it is the medium I most often choose to capture the beautiful natural world I see every day. Each time I step out my door, I am inspired to capture something new on the paper in my studio. A pattern of light and shadow or a burst of color can be the spark of creativity on that day. I have traveled to some spectacular destinations around this country, but I still find some of the most inspiring subjects are found in my own backyard.
